132 West 22nd Street, NYC, NY

The design for this prototype master bathroom included a mixture of traditional and modern elements to appeal to a diverse audience. Traditional porcelain washing bowls are placed above a cantilevered-counter made from white “Thasos” marble. The cantilever design provides code-required ADA accessibility. Dramatic side wall lighting brings visual focus to this unique assembly complete with mirrored medicine cabinets. Large panels of white-glass were used in conjunction with blue-tiled walls to create "water-zones" distinguished by the blue tile. The free-standing shower wall allows the recessed cove-light to illuminate the entire west-wall without interruption, making this window-less bathroom brighter and feel more spacious.
