"Hudson Valley Tastemakers"
Site Specific Sculpture
Bard College Campus
Annandale-on-Hudson, NY
Developed and engineered a 100-foot long steel and earth sculpture for the artist Christian Philip Muller. The earth sculpture examines the specific “taste” of food in New York State's Hudson River Valley. Soil extracted from six counties fills the sculpture from which historical and edible plants were cultivated. The products of this artwork were harvested and transformed in a final culinary act that celebrated "flavor and taste" as an evolving art form. The sculpture was a part of Watershed; The Hudson Valley Art Project, curated and imagined by Minetta Brook and Diane Shamash.
